On land, at sea and in the air
Welcome to Grenen.
Grenen is one of Denmark’s most popular tourist attractions. Each year, around a million people visit the tip of Denmark to experience the light and the two seas colliding. But Grenen has even more to offer. The three-square-kilometre reserve area is full of wonderful nature discoveries in hilly dunes and extensive heath and moorland. You can look forward to lots of bunkers and other relics from WWII, enthralling tales of sailing and the sea at the treacherous Skagen’s Reef, famous painters, art and culture. At the same time, Grenen is a paradise for rare birds and all the other animals that live here.
At Grenen, you will find nature trails that will guide you out into the landscape. They have been thoughtfully established to give you as many opportunities to discover all of what Grenen has to offer. You are now standing at the start of the blue route. The blue route is 6 kilometres long and ahead of you awaits wild and beautiful nature, Skagen Radar Station with its large dome, and the charming Jenne Lake. On your trip, you will also come across signs like this one. Here, you can read more about what it is you will find and experience along the way.
Happy trails!
The route consists mostly of hiking trails, and it is a good idea to wear sensible footwear in wet periods.
